Wakes at Alfred's Homestead
Alfred's Homestead is a beautiful venue to celebrate the life of a loved one.
The features most appreciated are :
1. Large function room allowing family and
friends plenty of room to mingle
2. Plenty of windows allowing natural light and
the pleasant ambience of Australian Bush.
3. A huge open fireplace is very welcoming on
poor weather days.
4. A very large car park since the Restaurant
is licensed for 300.
5. The Restaurant works by Bookings and so is
available to be booked on a weekday for early
or late afternoon. Even with a small number
of 40 or 50 the Restaurant can be booked for
exclusive use.
6. A bar is available for drinks or drinks can be
served to guests if preferred.
7. Alfred's Homestead is well known for its
homemade stocks sauces,mayonnaise and
sweets. The food for such an
occasion can be whatever you wish
since it is your special function.
Wakes are normally celebrated early afternoon or late afternoon and so it may not be essential to have a lunch or dinner menu. We have found that finger food hot and cold is normally what is requested on these occasions. Bar Service allows the guests to pay for drinks if this is preferred and we do allow 2 to 3.5 hours for such functions.
Normally 1:30pm to 5pm or 2:30pm to 5pm.
If we have no bookings for tea the function can extend to 6pm.
